Support us

What kind of gift ?

There are several ways in which you can help us to help South Sinai. Arguably the most effective long-term strategy is to help us build our endowment. An endowed fund - a capital fund in which the principal is invested and only the annual income spent - provides a permanent resource for the community. It will increase our capacity to provide reliable support for South Sinai, and will ultimately make the mo'assessa sustainable, without the need for additional grant aid.

However, you may prefer to make a gift for immediate grantmaking on a specific theme, project, or to support the mo'assessa's Emergency Fund.

Funds donated can be restricted, meaning that you, as a donor, have a say in how your money is spent; or, they can be unrestricted, allowing us to work with the mo'assessa and local people to address local priorities.

These options are presented in detail on our Donation form.

Because we fund our own administration and that of the mo'assessa your whole donation will be used to benefit Bedouin communities.

A gift to remember....

Many people like to remember a loved one with a charitable gift - indeed SSF's founding fund was established in the name of our Chair's late father, Jim Bird. How better to be remembered than with a 'gift that goes on giving'? The mo'assessa has already benefitted from a generous property legacy; leaving a gift in your will of cash, property or shares are all ways in which you can do lasting good to some of the world's poorest people. We will be happy to discuss these options with you in confidence. Contact us.
